Some random Novembers

We took quite a few pics in November and they are a bit random. Here are a few of the funnest.
Tristan absolutely loves taking baths. If he could he would probably take one every hour. We limit it to two a day at the most! ;)

It is probably a good thing he takes baths so frequently. He gets himslef dirty in seconds and is always into something.
This pic was taken after he ate a blue M&M. Both Eliot and I were reminded of one specific place when we saw his face - KARLSPLATZ in Vienna. No, he did not hang out with the druggies there!;)

Vienne has been such a good baby. She is growing and smiling and very quiet. She is the cutest thing and draws attention with her looks everywhere she goes. We love her so much. Even Teddy can't get enough of holding her.

Vivi is definitely more of a cuddle bug than Tristan ever was. She loves being held.

And yes, sometimes Tristan likes to cuddle too. Here me and my boy! Little does he know what follows in just a second ...

... the TICKLE MONSTER!! Tickle, tickle, kitzel, kitzel, ...- he really is laughing very hard, not crying, just thought I'd make that clear!;)

Tristan's birthday #2

Unbelievable that Tristan is having his 2nd birthday already. Seems like yesterday that we were excited about his first one. Since this was his first birthday here in Idaho with the Watts family it was a big family event. We did a little party with games for the kids and all kind of fun prizes etc. Unfortunately I think Tristan had too much candy over the weekend (we were strict about candy intace in Vienna where he had pretty much none). He has been having fits and has been a very typical 2-year-old. And that on his birthday with most of his cousins around. Oh well, it can't always be perfect, especially not with toddlers.
Nana made home made root beer which was a BIG HIT as you can tell. Tristan was amazed by the steam the dry ice made and tried licking it. See for yourself.

After dinner and games Tristan opened presents. And my, did he get spoiled. Thomas and friends - the trains - are among his favorite toys. He received a train set from Opa last year for his birthday that we kept for him until just a couple weeks ago. He loves playing with it. "Auntie Cole" as he calls Nicole, got him a Thomas and friends DVD last year that got him hooked. So, for his birthday he got another train. He also enjoys "Cars", from the movie, so we got him a "cars" laptop because he always wants to play with our laptop. Now he has one for himself. He really loves any kind of cars. His auntie Amber got him a little downhill race track. See how spoiled he is being?

And Nana got him a little tricycle (without pedals) that he (and all his cousins) really loved.

Can you tell what his two favorite toys are?? Little wanna be multi-tasker!

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, ..... and he blew out both candles on his own.

Ok, we all know why Tristan is a chunk after looking at this pic. He eats anything he can get his hands on! Little did he know that he was actually supposed to eat the cake rather than the candle!

Oh, there - he figured it out!

Tristan, we wish you a HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Pre-Halloween

Halloween fell on a Sunday this year. Because of this some of the counties decided to do trick-or-treating on Saturday instead. Tristan was even lucky enough to get even an earlier start on Halloween. Mandy invited him to join Josie and Jameson at their dad's work Halloween party. He was excited and loved his costume (a hand me down).
Tristan the dragon, Josie the poodle, and Jameson the dog

So this is what T-Mobile employees look like, huh.

Bucket in hand - ready for treats!!

There were various games and tasks to accomplish before receiving a treat. Tristan was big on collecting his candy.

Tristan skipped this game as it was a bit too complicated for him. But Jameson loved it. "Fish for the candy".

Saturday evening our ward had a "trunk-or-treat" in the church parking lot. We went and had a lot of fun. I have added a video clip of Tristan collecting his treats and having fun with his cousins.

Nicole in town

Nicole came up to Boise a couple weeks after Vienne was born to help out. It was so nice to have her around and spend a chunk of time together. She was a great help to me.

Isn't Vivi sweet?

Tristan is such a proud big brother. He really looks after his little sister Vivi.

Vienne got lots of love from Nicole.

While Nicole was here the weather was fabulous so we took many walks. Here are a few pics of our neighborhood. I love this place. Eliot's parents live here and I have so enjoyed living here and taking walks. The subdivision is called "River's End" in Eagle, ID. It is upper end living and right on a river. There are many ponds and small streams that were made to flow through the subdivision. The colors of fall have just started showing. So it was an especially beautiful day to go for a walk. Vienne enjoyed it too!

Here is the house Eliot's parents live in. Vienne's first home! ;)

One of Vivi's first baths

Tristan loves taking a bath with Vienne. I wish Vienne loved it just as much. She had a hard time the first few times. In the meantime she is alright with it and actually enjoys splashing in the water. Here a pic of one of the first baths she took with Tristan.

Drying off. She was happy to get out of the bath.

Vienne was so exhausted after the bath that she fell right asleep.
